In the stillness, there is solitude, a longing woven into the shadows of Glodok.

Soft lights flicker in hidden corners, and the streets hum with quiet prayers. The full moon rises, casting its glow on an empty space once filled with noise. These photos capture a city transformed, where silence becomes a story, and the night offers moments of reflection for those who pause to listen.

Glodok is a vast yet intimate space, teeming with opportunities to connect with its people and history.

Despite being a popular destination flooded with imagery, I seek out what others miss – the authentic, the raw, the spontaneous. There are no setups or staging here, just the soul of Glodok as it unfolds in front of my lens.

Mid-Autumn Festival, a time for family reunion and the celebration of moon. A celestial butterfly, adorned with lunar hues. Its wings, a tapestry of moonbeams symbolizing beauty, joy, and longevity.

The characters 团圆, meaning "family reunion," are incorporated into the butterfly's design, reinforcing the central theme of togetherness. The Chinese word for butterfly, 蝴蝶 (Húdié) sounds similar to "luck" and "elder," making it a fitting symbol for wishing elders, long may they endure.
